Christopher (Mark) Cianciarulo, 61, passed away unexpectedly in Chicago on Wednesday, March 8th, 2017, where he had recently been residing. Prior to that he was a long-time resident of San Francisco, CA. Born in Providence, he was the son of Christine (Rotelli) Cianciarulo of Narragansett and the late Edmund D. Cianciarulo. Christopher was a self-employed software developer-engineer for many years, and a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. He received his Bachelor of Science and Business degree from San Francisco State University. His interests included Photography, Guitar, Movies, Multi-Media design, Skiing, Snowboarding, Hiking and Backpacking. He hiked the Grand Canyon twice solo, and received numerous awards as a Large Scale Artist at Burning Man. He was a member of the former rock group The Fun Addicts who were number one on the KSAN rising stars in 1980. He is also listed in the IMBD for his contribution to two films. Besides his mother he is survived by three brothers, Edmund Cianciarulo and his wife Natalie of East Greenwich, Ronaldo Cianciarulo of San Francisco, CA and William Cianciarulo of Ventura, CA; his sister, Elaine Murney and her husband William of Wakefield; two nephews, Gary and Dante Cianciarulo; a niece, Nicole Dossin and two grand nephews, Nicholas and Sloan Dossin. He was the uncle of the late Kenji Cianciarulo. He will be dearly missed by all. His funeral will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017, with visiting hours from 10am to 11:30 at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 12 noon in Christ the King Church, 180 Old North Rd., Kingston. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Peace Dale. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Kiva.org.
