Marjorie C. (Adams) Craig, 89, of Charlestown, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at South County Hospital surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of the late Stanwood L. Craig.

Born in Usquepaug, Rhode Island, on October 14, 1936, she was a daughter of Joseph and Claire (Greene) Adams.

Marjorie was a true firecracker, outgoing, spirited, and so often the life of the party. As one of ten children, she learned early to put the needs of others before her own. She was deeply selfless yet fiercely independent, always ready to care for others while living life on her own terms.

A devoted homemaker, she cherished being a wife and mother and had a natural gift for caregiving. Her generous heart led her to serve as a caregiver and to open her home to foster children, offering them warmth, stability, and love.

She grew up around horses and loved riding Western saddle, an early passion that reflected her adventurous spirit. Marjorie also treasured trips to Walt Disney World. She celebrated her 80th birthday there and livestreamed the adventure for family and friends-including her unforgettable ride on the Tower of Terror. She embraced life with enthusiasm, humor, and a sense of fun that made every gathering brighter.

She is survived by her two sons, Stanwood R. Craig of Charlestown, RI and Mark Priestley of Evans Mills, NY; her two grandchildren, Scott and Steve Priestley and his wife Jessica Priestley; her two great grandchildren, Ella and Amy Priestley all from Philadelphia, NY.

her sister, Joanne Stasiunas and her husband Timothy of Charlestown, RI and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was the sister of the late Shirley Sherman, Dorothy Essex, Nancy Stephenson, Joseph L. Adams, Frederick P. Adams, Richard Adams, Linda Cacciola and Darlene Kissick.

Her burial will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 11AM in the Rhode Island Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 201 South County Trail, Exeter, RI 02822.
