Marjorie A. (Cahoone) Cook, 72, died Monday at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of James Cook, Jr. for fifty-two years. Born in South Kingstown, she was the daughter of the late Louis Cahoone Sr. and Margaret (Whaley) Cahoone. Marjorie was employed by both De La Salle Christian Brothers and for Sea Grant Publications at U.R.I. Bay Campus for many years before retiring. She was a devout Christian and a Sunday School Teacher for many years, a Cub Scout Den Mother, and Brownie & Girl Scout Troup Leader. She was the loving mother of James M Cook III and his wife Rebekah and Pamela D’Ambrosio and her husband Christopher all of Narragansett; loving grandmother of Chelsea, James IV, Rachel and John; sister of Louis Cahoone, Jr. and Margaret Anderson. Visiting hours Friday 4-7 PM followed by a funeral service at 7:00 PM in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. Burial will be private.
