Marilyn (Nielsen) Tassielli, 84, a twenty-seven year resident of Horbour Island, passed away Friday, January 17th at her home surrounded by her family. She is predeceased by her husband, Nicholas, and her brother, Carl Nielsen. She is survived by her four children, Michael Tassielli and his wife Lori of Fountain Hills, AZ, Nicholas Tassielli and his wife Constance of Charlestown, Christina Dubner and her husband Steven of New City, NY and Andrew Tassielli and his wife Catherine of Scottsdale, AZ. She was also a foster mother to Harold Forsythe. Along with being the mother of five, Marilyn was the grandmother of 9 and great-grandmother of four, soon to be six. Marilyn was born in Bridgeport, CT on November 25, 1935, the day after her future spouse was born in the same hospital. They met years later while living in the same housing development and soon discovered their coincidence at birth and learned their mothers were in the same room in the hospital. Having been born literal soul mates, their storybook relationship became a marriage lasting 62 years. Marilyn was a lifelong homemaker, dedicated to her family and she has an everlasting hold on their hearts. A service will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 3pm at Avery- Storti Funeral Home in Wakefield, RI. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hope Hospice, 1085 North Main Street.
