Marie Wright Blessing

Marie Wright Blessing, 95, of South Kingstown, passed away on Tuesday, April 22nd surrounded by her loving family. Born in South Kingstown, RI, on October 3, 1929 to her loving parents, the late William and Caroline (Hines) Stedman. She was married to the late Edward R Wright, and the late George Blessing.

Marie graduated from South Kingstown high school in 1946. After high school she went to work for New England Telephone Co. for 35 years and worked there until retirement. She enjoyed many things in her life in spite of all the hardships she endured, she always found time for painting, playing bocce, going to the beach and traveling. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Eddie Wright of Attleboro, MA, Beth Cassidy and the late Paul Cassidy of St Cloud, Fl, Cindy Johnson and (Mark)of Wakefield, RI, Kathy Fagan and (Pat) of Wakefield, Christine Gould and (late Jimmy Gould), George P Blessing and (Andrea). She is pre-deceased by Timothy J Wright Blessing. She has 17 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank all the staff at Bayview Scalabrini Rehab for the wonderful care they provided her. Also thanks to the Beacon Hospice staff that helped in her care.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, April 26th from 11:30 am till 12:30 pm in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St. Wakefield, RI. A funeral service will follow at 12:30 pm. Burial will take place in St Francis Cemetery, George Schaeffer St.,Peace Dale, RI.
