Marie B. Bernie Gilchrist

Marie B. "Bernie (Lefebvre) Gilchrist, 83, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2012. She was the wife of the late Eugene F. Gilchrist Jr., (Capt. PFD). Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Alice (Turcotte) Lefebvre. Mrs. Gilchrist was a Providence crossing guard for many years until moving to Narragansett in 1978. She worked at Stop & Shop in Narragansett until retiring in 2004. She is survived by her son, Ronald F. Gilchrist and his wife Jane of Narragansett; her daughter, Maureen E. Hargreaves and her husband Stephen of Loudon, NH. She loved spending time with her six grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She was the sister of Rita Calitri, Estelle St. Pierre, Doris Graham, Claire Hoogasian, Edmund and Gerard Lefebvre and the late Beatrice Arias. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10:00 AM in St Mary Star of the Sea Church, Pt. Judith Rd. Narragansett.
