Marian E. Cooke

August 24, 1925 — July 17, 2024

Marian E. Cooke (Eccleston), 98, of Wakefield, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. She was the wife of the late Arthur H. Cooke. Born in Richmond she was the daughter of the late George and Harriet (Steadman) Eccleston.


Marian was a clerk for the former Woolworth’s Co. for many years before retiring and was an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Wickford.


She is survived by her children, Diana Cooke of Aurora, CO, Carol J. Mason and her husband George of Wakefield, Arthur L. Cooke and his wife Jennie of Wakefield, William Cooke of FL and Mary Ann Kissick and her husband Douglas of Narragansett; seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was the grandmother of the late David Lebelle and mother-in-law of the late Jeanine Cooke.


Visitation will be held on Monday, July 22, 2024, 9:30 – 10:30 am, in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 am. Burial will be in New Fernwood Cemetery.
