Maria L. Posillo

Maria L. Posillo (Maggio), 87, of Wakefield, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Riverview Healthcare Community. She was the wife of the late Michele Posillo. Born in Atella, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Maria (D’Annucci) Maggio. She is survived by her children, Maria T. Posillo Chianese of Narragansett, Michele Posillo III and his wife Christy of Virginia, and Rosanna Jones and her husband Dwayne of Wakefield, four grandchildren, Michele Posillo IV and his wife Erica, Daniel Posillo, Stephanie Chianese and Melissa Chianese, and three great grandchildren, Tony Lamas, Joseph Posillo and Isabella Posillo, and a brother Frank Maggio and his wife Margit. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 17, 2021 at 11 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High St. Wakefield. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
