Maria “Mary” (Amore) Ciulla, 99, of Narragansett, passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side on Wednesday, June 30, 2021. She was the wife of the late Salvatore Ciulla. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Carmine and Angelina (Lancellotti) Amore. Maria worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company for 14 years. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, especially when she was preparing for the holidays. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. She attributed her long life to her two great-grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Sally Lupica and her husband Robert Lefebvre of Wakefield, and Carol Hamlin of Narragansett; her grandchildren, Dusten Hamlin of Narragansett, Alexander Lupica and his partner Lesley Kinzel of Pawtucket, and Emily Brede and her husband David of Middletown, CT; her great-grandchildren, Nina and Dusten Hamlin; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Carmine, Ciro, Alphonso, Antonio, Vincenzo, Giuseppe, Francesco, Antimo, and Raphaella Amore, and Philomena Capaldi; and her son-in law, Nicholas Lupica. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 10am in St. Bartholomew's Church, 297 Laurel Hill Ave, Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers donations in her name may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
