Maria A. Alfred

Maria A. Alfred, 74, of Narragansett passed away Wednesday after a long illness. She was the beloved wife of John Alfred for 52 years. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Etta (Flori) Paolino. Mrs. Alfred was the Business Manager for the Jamestown School System and before that for the Narragansett School System. Besides her husband, she is survived by two children, Michael L. Alfred of Bloomington, IL and Stephanie J. Hilliker of Portland, OR; and two sisters, Judy Allen of St. Petersburg, FL and Barbara Badarak of Riverside, CA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at 10 am in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 864 Pt. Judith Road, Narragansett. Visiting hours are Monday 4-7 p in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Burial will be Wednesday at 10 am in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
