Margery Cole

Margery W. Cole, 76, of Charlestown passed peacefully on March 7, 2023 with her family by her side. Margie was born in South Kingstown to her parents, the late Edward and Pearl Webster. She was the beloved wife of Walter Cole for over 55 years.

Margie graduated from Chariho High School and attended Barrington College where she met her loving husband. Margie was an active member of Wakefield Baptist Church, serving her Lord as deacon and as choir member and then as choir director.

Margie’s greatest achievement was being the loving mother of Debra Coffey (Robert) and Edward Cole (Susan) and grandmother of Samuel Palmisano, Tyler Cole and Abigail Cole and great grandson Erick Lindewall. She is survived by her dear sister Catherine Holloway and pre-deceased by her brother; John Webster.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 10 am at Wakefield Baptist Church, 236 Main St., Wakefield followed by burial in the Veterans’ Cemetery, 301 S. County Trail, Exeter, 02822. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Memorial Fund at Wakefield Baptist Church (specify Music Ministry) may be given in her memory.
