Margaret E. Thomas

Margaret E. Thomas, 91, of Wakefield, passed away Sunday. She was the wife of the late John Thomas Born in Narragansett, she was a daughter of the late Mervin and Mildred (Hazard) Sekator. She is survived six children, Mary Jane Banfield, Cynthia A. Blunt, John Norman Thomas, Jr., Eric S. Thomas, Norma F. Thomas, andMatthew Thomas; 23 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren; and a sister Mildred (Sekator) Johnson. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and an abundance of dear friends. She was the mother of the late Robert “Toolie” Thomas, Charles E. Thomas, Peter D. Thomas, Margaret Thomas, and William Henry Thomas; and she was the sister of the late Mervin Sekator, Charles Sekator, Benjamin Sekator, Marion Cuffee, Phyllis Robinson, Gladys Thomas, Isabel Reels, and Madelyn Fayerweather. Visiting hours are Friday from 11 am-1pm, followed by a funeral service at 1 pm in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Her immediate family asks to respect their request for a private burial.
