Margaret Elsie Peg Mcveigh

Margaret “Peg” Elsie McVeigh, 91, of Seattle Washington, formerly of South Kingstown and Yonkers, NY, died Monday. She was the wife of the late Harold Robert McVeigh. Born in Mt. Vernon, NY, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Elsie (Tyler) Decker. Mrs. McVeigh was a school secretary at School 29 in Yonkers, NY for twenty-nine and a half years before retiring. She was also a girl scout leader at School 29 for eight years. She leaves two daughters, Linda McVeigh of Seattle, WA and Donna Fantel of Wakefield; a sister Ruth Ingram of Nyack, NY; two grandchildren, Megan McVeigh-DuBois and John Fantel and a great granddaughter, Kara Fantel. Visitation will be held Saturday November 20th from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. Burial will be in Old Fernwood Cemetery, Kingston. In Lieu of flowers donations to The Country Doctor, 500 19th Avenue East, Seattle, WA 98122, would be appreciated.
