Margaret C. Cook (Pelrine), 89, of Wakefield, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, August 23, 2016. She was the wife of the late Everett E. Cook. Born in Providence, the daughter of the late William and Regina (McGrane) Pelrine. Mrs. Cook was a member of the St. Xavier Alumnae Association; the Green Hill Beach Club; she wintered in Ft. Myers, Florida for many years and enjoyed knitting, quilting and crocheting. She is survived by her children, Jeanne M. Elson Gordon of North Smithfield, Judith A. Mack of Narragansett, William J. Cook and his wife Anne of North Kingstown and Robert E. Cook and his wife Mary Ann of South Kingstown; five grandchildren, Ted and Katherine Elson, Cortney Mack and Casey Cook and Matthew Cook and seven great-grandchildren. Her funeral will be held on Monday, August 29, 2016, at 9 am from the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 am in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High St., Wakefield. Burial will follow in R.I. Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Sunday 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Xavier Alumnae Association Scholarship Fund, P.O.
