Margaret B. Kenyon

Margaret Butson Kenyon, 87, of West Kingston passed away peacefully Saturday, October 20th 2018. She was the daughter of the late Charles Harold Butson and Pearl Cady Butson of Noank, CT. She is survived by her husband of sixty-eight years, Raymond G. Kenyon, Sr., seven children, Judith Kenyon Rodrigues of Coventry, James A. Kenyon of West Kingston, Matthew Kenyon of Middletown Springs, VT, Margaret Kenyon Tuoni of West Kingston, Raymond Kenyon, Jr. of West Kingston, Susan Kenyon Dinonsie of South Kingstown, and Daniel Kenyon of West Kingston; her sister Joan Russell of Groton CT and brother Peter Butson of West Kingston, RI. Predeceased by her sister, Constance White, and brothers Charles H. Butson, Jr. and F. David Butson. She will be dearly missed by her sixteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, great and grand nieces and nephews. Margaret was an alumnus of the University of Rhode Islands class of 1970 where she earned her Bachelors in Home Economics. She is best remembered for feeding her West Kingston community at Grannys Kitchen and lovingly crafting quilts and other treasures as well as teaching quilting and sewing to many generations of South County residents. She was a generous, kind and patient woman who touched many lives. Funeral Service will be Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield.
