Malcolm W. Cook, 84, of Narragansett, died Tuesday. Born in South Kingstown, he was a son of the late Allen B. and Ella M. (Carpenter) Cook. Mr. Cook retired from the University of Rhode Island in 1988. He was the former owner of “The Little Gray Mouse” in Wakefield, enjoyed music and was a collector of “78’s” and 12” vinyl records, was a photographer and had his own “Red Room" in his house, loved to travel, and he will be remembered for his sense of humor. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by nieces, Patricia Murphy, Judith Moran Vikre, and Andrea Silva, all of Wakefield; a nephew William Cook of Wakefield; and his good friend Ted Holland of Narragansett. He was the brother of the late Allen B. Cook, Jr. and Dorothy C. Moran. A celebration of his life will be held Sunday April 22, 2012 from 3-7 Pm at the Elks Lodge, 60 Belmont Avenue, Wakefield.
