Mabel K. Casey

Mabel K. Casey,(KOCH), 105, of South Kingstown, passed away on Wednesday at the Scallop Shell Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Theodore Casey. She leaves two sons, Philip Casey and his wife Eleanor of Dover, NH and John Casey and his wife Dee Dee of Narragansett. She also leaves her grandchildren, Carmel Casey, Tim Casey and his wife Joni all of Kensington, NH; Daniel Casey of Narragansett, Mark Casey of New York, and Michael Casey and his wife Laurie of Jamestown; and she leaves 10 great grandchildren. Mrs. Casey was born in Turners Falls, MA and started working at the age of 15 in a knife factory, and later as a telephone operator and clerk for the town of Montague. She retired to Florida and has lived in Narragansett for the past twelve years. Mrs. Casey was a champion golfer, Landscape Artist, Knitter, an avid Bridge player and reader. She wall be sadly missed by her family and many friends in RI and Florida, the residents of Peace Dale House and by the staff of the Scallop Shell where she has lived for the past seven months. They were among her dearest friends and provided loving personal care, for which the Casey family will be forever grateful. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Tuesday in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High Street, Wakefield. Burial will be private and visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Scallop Shell Nursing & Rehabilitation Center Activities Fund, 981 Kingstown Road, Peace Dale, RI 02879.
