Luke D Brown

January 18, 1993 — February 19, 2023

With heavy hearts, we honor the life of Luke Dane Brown, who tragically left us on February 19, 2023. Luke was our beloved son, brother, cousin, uncle, and dear friend. Luke’s tender hearted soul brought joy to us all and it pains us to proceed without him.

Luke was born in South Kingstown, R. I. at South County Hospital. He grew up in Narragansett, and later moved to Charlestown. He graduated from Chariho High School and developed a career in the culinary arts working at the Chophouse in Wakefield, R.I. Luke was a devoted uncle, spending his days caring and tending to the needs of his nephew, Jordan. In 2018, Luke was diagnosed with Leber’s Hereditary Optic Neuropathy (LHON), an inherited form of vision loss. However, with clear aspirations and relentless passion, Luke did not settle for a life that is less than one capable of living; recently enrolling at The Carroll Center for the blind.

Luke is survived by his loving mother Roberta Gremour and his devoted siblings; Gabriel and sister in law, Jennifer Sullivan; Kelly Sullivan and Michael “Mickey” Sullivan. Luke loved his niece, Taylor and his two nephews, Seamus and Jordan. He is greatly missed by his family and friends. Luke is leaving an impression of love and light that will always be remembered.

Luke was an exceptional person and quite revered by those who encountered them. His sincere smile and loving spirit was infectious. He loved telling stories capturing the ear of his friends and family. Luke enjoyed live music, hiking outdoors, and lazy days at the beach, namely Prudence Island. But overall Luke simply enjoyed spending time with family, his beloved girlfriend Katie and a long list of lifetime friends.

We deeply appreciate the kindness, support, and love you have shown us during this difficult time. It will always be remembered.
