Lucille A. White, 87, of Narragansett, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. She was born on April 10, 1937, in Bristol, RI, to Antonio Andreozzi and Rose Quatruopolo Andreozzi.
Lucille was a beloved wife and devoted mother. She is survived by her husband, Robert Silveira White; her daughters, Rosemarie Gillooly (Mark J. Gillooly) and Kim Elizabeth Colvin (Donald A. Colvin Jr.); and her granddaughters, Jessica White Gillooly, PhD, Victoria Elizabeth Colvin, PhD, and Starr L. White. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert A. White, on July 11, 2018.
Lucille was an antique dealer in southern Rhode Island, a profession that fueled her passion for history. She was an avid gardener, nurturing everything from philodendrons and African violets to vibrant orchids. Lucille loved long walks on the beach, collecting sea glass, and cherished time spent with friends and family.
Known for her kindness and bright spirit, Lucille was a loving person who formed strong bonds with those around her. She was a dedicated reader with a deep appreciation for books across many genres.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lucille’s memory may be made to the Dr. Susan Love Foundation for Breast Cancer Research through the Tower Cancer Research Foundation,https://giving.classy.org/campaign/568858/donate .
Lucille will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
