Louise E. Picciotti

May 6, 1948 — March 13, 2024

Louise Elena Picciotti, 75, of Narragansett RI, unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Kent Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Louise was born in Bridgeport, CT on May 6, 1948, daughter of the late Salvatore and Anna (Oliva) Piccolo, Sr. She is predeceased by her brothers Salvatore (Linda) Piccolo, Jr, Anthony (Rose) Piccolo, Michael (Diane) Piccolo.

Louise is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Robert M. Picciotti. Besides her husband, she is survived by her children Frank Picciotti and Annette Jacques and her husband Vincent, four grandchildren, Julia Borges and her husband Trevor, Sophia Picciotti and her wife Kayla, Vincent and Emily Jacques, and two great grandchildren, Maizy and Avery Borges, her sister in-laws, and many nieces and nephews.

The most important things in Louise’s life were her Faith, her Family and her Friends in that order. She was a devout Catholic, serving as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Jude Parish, ministering to the elderly. After moving to Narragansett, she became a parishioner at St. Thomas More Church and loved attending Sunday Mass with her friends. Louise believed in the power of prayer and spent every morning in her special chair praying for family, friends and anyone in times of need.

She was married to her high school sweetheart, Bob, for 58 years. They shared a lifetime of hosting holidays and family parties. She loved to cook, Sunday dinners were mandatory, and for her, the more the merrier. As long as there was pasta in the house, she could whip up dinner for a crowd on a moment's notice. Her specialty was meatballs, and she loved teaching the song “On Top of Spaghetti” to her nieces, nephews and grandchildren as soon as they could talk. As a young mother, she always had time for her children, either going on adventures or hosting pool parties, where all of the neighborhood kids were welcome. Her love for her children was exceeded only in her love for her four grandchildren and two great granddaughters. She cherished her role as Gramma and Gaga, and spending time with them was the highlight of her days.

Before relocating to Rhode Island, Louise worked in Derby CT at National School Studios and was one of the first Mary Kay representatives, beginning her career in cosmetics and fragrance. She was a Lancôme saleswoman for many years in the Rhode Island and Boston area. After relocating to South County, she worked in retail at Coldwater Creek in Newport and most recently Marshalls in Narragansett. She made lifelong friends wherever she worked. She loved meeting new people and traveling, having spent time in Puerto Rico, Italy, Spain, France and London with many of her family and friends. Louise loved going out with her Thursday night group of friends, playing cards, going to the movies or just spending time together. Anyone who met her immediately fell in love with her warm and generous heart. She was a shining star that will be missed by all who knew her dearly. We have no doubt that she is now an angel looking down upon us.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, March 19th from 4 to 8 PM at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St, Wakefield, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 20th at 10AM at St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland St., Narragansett. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.
