Louise B. Beaufort

December 13, 1946 — December 3, 2024

Louise B. Beaufort, 77, of Marco Island FL and South Kingstown, passed away on December 3, 2024. She was the wife of the late Raymond R Beaufort. Born December 13, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Stella Dumas.

She leaves her children Jacqueline (Robert) DeBlois and John Beaufort; grandmother to Beau DeBlois, Abby Tynan, and Laura DeBlois; great-grandmother to Renee Tynan.

Louise graduated from the Tyler School and soon after married Ray and started a family. She had a very strong work ethic and worked for many years at The Green Thumb Nursery, cementing her love for anything that grows in the earth.

After raising her family, Louise worked closely with her husband Ray, in the family building business, RR Beaufort and Associates. She was bookkeeper, office manager, sounding board, and peacekeeper to Ray.

Upon retirement Louise spent many enjoyable years on Marco Island, FL. She loved her community and filled her time with boating, shell collecting, reading, crocheting, and gardening. She especially took joy in preparing her home for much anticipated visits from her grandchildren.

Louise moved back to Rhode Island after her husbands passing, to be closer to her family. She settled in Tuckertown Village, where she formed many bonds in the community. Louise enjoyed weekly bingo, bocce, social events, and served on the Tuckertown Village board. She took pride in tending to her yard and gardens with her beloved dog Missy always by her side.

Louise was never afraid to speak her mind and was fiercely independent. All who knew her appreciated her sarcastic humor and quick wit. Always quietly observing to weigh in with a memorable take on any situation.

Louise will be dearly missed by her family. Honoring Louise’s wishes, her family will have a private celebration of her life. May she rest in peace.
