Louis E. Graichen

Louis E. Graichen Sr., 84, of Pt. Judith Rd., Narragansett, died Tuesday at South County Hospital. He was the husband of the late Marguerite “Peggy” (LaGrange) Graichen. Born in Glocester, RI, he was the son of the late Earl and Susie Graichen. Mr. Graichen worked as a yardman and was a dedicated employee at Arnold Lumber Co. in Wakefield for sixty seven years before retiring. He was a member of South Kingstown Elks and played Santa Claus at the Elks and Perryville Grange. He enjoyed dancing and was a member and past president of the barn in North Kingstown. He was the loving father of Louis E. Graichen Jr. and his wife Kathie of Charlestown, Susan Pierce and her husband Richard of Charlestown; loving and dedicated grandfather to Zachary and Nicholas Graichen, Richard, Brian, and Amanda Pierce. A graveside service will be held Friday at 11:00 AM in New Fernwood Cemetery, Rt. 138 Kingston.
