Louis P. Barbera Sr.

Louis P. Barbera, Sr., 94, of South Kingstown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 29, 2025. Born in Stonington, CT, he was the son of the late Frank and Grace Barbera. He was the beloved husband of the late Lily (Diana) Barbera.

Louis was a machinist at Warren Pump in Peace Dale and a salesman at South Pier Fish Co. in Narragansett before retiring to Lakeland, FL. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing card games with his family. He was very active in the ELKS and became Exalted Ruler during his time there. He was a veteran of the Korean War before coming home to start his family. He was a loving father and grandfather and will always be remembered and missed. Our family would like to thank the staff of Scallop Shell Nursing Home for their kind and considerate care of our dad of our dad.

Louis is survived by his sons Paul, Peter, David, Mark, and James Barbera; grandchildren Jesse, Mikhaela, Samuel, Steven, Vanessa, Benjamin, Katy, Celine, and Caden; great-grandchildren Lily, Grayson, Bennett, Ella, Kennedy, Antonio, and Milo. He was predeceased by his granddaughter Kimberly Barbera.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St. Burial with military honors will follow at Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter.
