Lorraine E. (Brown) Morgera, 83, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, with her loving family at her side. A daughter of the late George R. and Gertrude M. (St. Martin) Brown and the beloved wife of Joseph Morgera, Lorraine was a longtime resident of Wakefield, RI.

Lorraine worked as a secretary for many years at several different parishes in the Providence Diocese, including St. Anthony’s and St. Roberts Parish. She also spent some time as a Librarian’s Assistant for the Prout School. In her leisure time, Lorraine loved to cook for her loved ones and was also an avid reader.

In addition to her beloved husband, Joseph, Lorraine is survived by her three children, Joseph Morgera and his wife Debra, Christopher Morgera and his wife Suzanne, and Linda Martel and her husband David; her sisters, Marie White and her husband William and Joanne Spears and her husband Ronald; her grandchildren, Catarina Morgera, Anthony Morgera and Tyra Martel; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late George R. Brown, Edward Brown, Robert Brown and Gertrude Reeve.

Arrangements are in the care of Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St. Wakefield, RI 02879. Friends and relatives are invited to gather at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 128 High St. Wakefield, RI 02789 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM. Burial will be private.
