Lorraine L. Champlin

Lorraine Champlin, 68, of Westerly passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2015. Born in South Kingstown, Rhode Island, she was daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Mars Champlin. Lorraine was a member of, and advocate for, the Narragansett Indian Tribe. She was a poet, activist, teacher, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She was the loving mother of her daughter Kalyana Champlain and life partner of the late Reverend Arthur L. Hardge. She was the sister of Ann F. Souza, the late Elizabeth R. Stanton, William Champlin Jr., Ronald Champlin, and Ralph Champlin. A phenomenal woman with a fabulous sense of humor, she will be greatly missed but her spirit is with us. MEMORIAL SERVICES WILL BE PRIVATE.
