Loretta L. Barrington

Loretta L. Barrington, 74, of Narragansett, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014 at South County Hospital. She was the wife of Ronald L. Barrington. Born in Jamestown, she was the daughter of the late Albert J. and Josephine (Matos) Lathan. Mrs. Barrington worked as a secretary for VNS in Narragansett for fourteen years before retiring. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Besides her husband she leaves three sons, David S. Barrington of New Canaan, CT, Douglas M. Barrington of Narragansett, and Donald L. Barrington of North Kingstown; a brother Thomas Lathan; six grandchildren, Kirby, Jake, Ryan, Liam, Mason, and Julia. She was the sister of the late Albert Lathan Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High St., Wakefield. Burial will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Monday 4-7 p.m. in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield.
