Loralie Austin

May 8, 1970 — October 24, 2024

Loralie M. Austin, 54, of South Kingstown passed away on Thursday, October 24th. Born in South Kingstown to her loving parents, the late, Stephen and Janet (Bentley) Cornell.

Loralie graduated from West Bay Christian Academy in 1988 and completed a variety of Business Courses, eventually receiving her Certificate of Business Information Processing from Sawyer School. She worked for Dry Bridge Sand and Stone for many years before becoming an Environmental Technical Support Specialist for the Army National Guard where she experienced great joy and excelled in her position at the ARNG. Along with her team, she placed 1st for Environmental Quality Team within her first year at the ARNG. Loralie also served as President for the Charlestown FOPA, dedicating her personal time to community service. Among other things, she loved reading and writing poetry, loved baking (not did be confused with cooking, which she was NOT a fan of) and her favorite place was the Beach, especially George's Beach. She adored her "tribe" and spending time with family and friends...most importantly, time with the love of her life, her Grandson, Landon.

Loralie's greatest legacy would be the foundation she created on behalf of her late son, Brandon. With the BMA Foundation she was able to embrace her artsy-craftsy side and give back to her community. She honored Brandon with her extensive work with children and animals through the foundation,

She is survived by her children, Ryan Marshall, Johnny Marshall Jr., Sarah Siart, her Grandson, Landon Marshall, and her sisters, Stephanie Ha (Tin), and Brenda Peloquin. She is predeceased by her son, Brandon Austin, her sisters, Linda Lee Cornell, Katherine Peygler, and Patricia Lamb.
