Liselotte M Zarlenga

Liselotte Marie (Hattenbach) Zarlenga, 90, passed away on January 3, 2023. Born in Stockholm, Sweden, daughter of the late Karl-Olof Hattenbach and the late Stina (Ludvigsson) Hattenbach. She was the wife of the late Richard E. Zarlenga.

Lee was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and individual with the brightest and kindest smile. When Lee was not busy entertaining family, she enjoyed cooking flavorful foods, baking specialty desserts, cake decorating for all the families’ special occasions, and painting sceneries for everyone to enjoy. She was very creative at sewing clothes, curtains, tablecloths, crocheting and knitting sweaters, hats, scarfs, warm blankets, and all sorts of fun and decorative items, donating many to charity. She also enjoyed working alongside of her talented friends by the fireside in the beautiful living area at Brookdale Senior Living in Wakefield, RI.

Lee is survived by her stepchildren, Pamela Brennan, Richard, Jr and wife Debbie, and Lori. Grandchildren, Heather and husband Brad, Riley, Tori and husband Cameron, Richie, Michael and Azalea. Brother, Karl-Olof Hattenbach and wife Onege. Brother-in-law, Thomas Zarlenga and wife Nancy. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, Prof. Dr Lars-Olof Hattenbach and wife Dr. Claudia Kuhli, Hattenbach, Ingrum and husband-Olof, Diane Zarlenga, Deborah Zarlenga, and David Zarlenga.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 11th, 2023 between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield RI. A Burial will follow at The Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
