Leslie Herrick

Leslie A. Herrick of South Kingstown, Rhode Island passed away surrounded by family on Monday, August 4th, 2025. She was 72. Born in San Diego to Alvin Belcher & Jean Loftis (Kunde), Leslie lived a full life that brought her around the world. The daughter of a Navy seaman, her family was stationed in Navy bases around the world. She had fond memories of living in Japan as a child. She later graduated high school in California's central valley, had her three children (Chuck McFadden, Siobhan Meece, and Shannon LaRoche) in beautiful South Lake Tahoe, and eventually moved with her late husband, Benjamin M. Herrick, to Rhode Island.

Leslie loved to sing, but not everyone loved to hear her sing. She enjoyed crochet/crafts, hunting for sea glass on the beach, and family barbecues. Most of all, Leslie adored her grandchildren. They were her boundless source of joy, hope, and love. Her family is certain that her final thoughts were focused on the love she felt for her dear grandchildren.

Leslie is survived by her children and grandchildren, Keegan Meece, Jacob LaRoche, Elizabeth McFadden, Aiden Arif, Collin Hoppel, Lilliana Hoppel, and Alexander Nieves, Jr.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 12th from 5-7 pm in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield, RI. Burial will be held at a later date.
