Leonard K. Hazard, 82, of Wakefield, died Sunday. He was the husband of Elsie J. (Perry) Hazard. Born in Slocum, he was the son of the late Leonard K. Young and Edith E. Hazard. Mr. Hazard was employed in the construction business for several years, retiring in 1989. He enjoyed playing cards, horseshoes, and bowling. His family will remember him as being a devoted and caring person. Besides his wife, he is survived by three children, James G. Perry and Stanley K. Perry, both of Peace Dale, and Gloria Ann Perry of Newport; six grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren; three brothers, Arthur Hazard of New York, Edward Jordan and Harold Jordan, both of Providence; and two sisters, Irene Little of Newport and Nellie Mann of Warwick. He was predeceased by nine brothers and sisters. Visiting hours will be at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Friday from 12 - 1 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1 PM. Burial will take place in New Fernwood Cemetery, Kingston.
