Lemuel Al Waggoner

Lemuel “Al” Waggoner, 73, of Wakefield, passed away on February 27, 2016. He was the husband of Jean (Bell) Waggoner. Born in Oklahoma City, OK to the late Winnifred A. and Alta Bell (LaFavor) Waggoner. Mr. Waggoner served his country in the United States Navy for 26 ½ years retiring as Lieutenant Commander. After retiring he worked as a realtor for Yorktown Real Estate and started Word Man Word Processing. He also was active with maintenance and accounting at Guys and Gals in Wakefield. Al was a great father and grandfather and loved attending and being a member of the Wakefield Baptist Church. Besides his wife he is survived by his children Melody Clarke and her husband Michael of Atlanta, GA, AJ Waggoner and his wife Theresa of Atlanta, GA, Ron Waggoner and Melissa Waggoner both of South Kingstown, Sarah Thomas and her husband Ed of Atlanta, GA, and Kaeli Grace Waggoner of South Kingstown, nine grandchildren, and a sister Betty Allen and her husband Ed of San Antonio, Texas. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, March 1, 2016 from 4-6pm with a celebration of life to follow in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield.
