Lawrence W. Sherman

Lawrence W. Sherman, 93, of South Kingstown, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021. Born in South Kingstown, he was the son of the late Norman and Viola (Tucker) Sherman. He was predeceased by his wife Catherine (Carney) Sherman. Lawrence worked as an automotive supervisor for the University of Rhode Island for 46 years before retiring. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching truck pulling and farming. Lawrence was a fun, loving man with a wonderful sense of humor. He took great joy in filling the hearts of those around him with laughter and love. Lawrence is survived by his children Stephen L. Sherman and his wife Vickie of Richmond, Wayne B. Sherman and his wife Laurie of Peace Dale, and Linda Jalbert and her husband Dennis of South Kingstown; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, all services will be private. Burial will be in New Fernwood Cemetery in Kingston, RI.
