Lawrence M. Ross

Lawrence M. Ross of Wakefield, died Sunday at home at the age of 70, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Patricia (McGowan) Ross for 49 years. Born in Catskill, New York, he was a son of the late Nicholas and Ethel (Baldwin) Ross. Mr. Ross was employed for AIG/Valic for many years. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing, gardening, fishing, traveling and spent many years coaching Little League baseball and youth soccer teams. He was especially proud of his grandsons and cherished the time he spent with them. Besides his wife he is survived by three children, Larry Ross and his wife Elaine of Wakefield, Patricia Flynn and her husband Joseph of Shrewsbury, MA and Matthew Ross and his wife Laura Wells-Ross of Providence; four grandsons, Michael Ross, Gavin Flynn, Ryan Flynn, and Leo Ross; a brother, Wayne Ross of Hannacroix, NY; and a sister Claire Ross of Catskill, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Friday at Christ the King Church, Kingston. Visiting hours are at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Thursday, 5-8 PM.
