Laura Webb

August 10, 1921 — March 12, 2015

Laura A. Webb, formerly of Sweet Allen Farm, South Kingstown, passed away, Thursday March 12th. She was the wife of the late George R. Webb. Born in North Smithfield, she was a daughter of the late Napoleon and Bernadette (Roy) Boisclair. Mrs. Webb was a life-long resident of South County. She was a communicant and Eucharistic Minister at St. Francis of Assisi Church, was part of the first group of volunteers for Hospice of South County, active in the Girl Scouts for many years, a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, and the homeless, and an animal advocate and member of the Animal Welfare Institute of the United States for 37 years. She is survived by a sister, Edith Boisclair of Wakefield, as well as a number of nieces and nephews, including her nephew Paul Costanza of Wakefield; nieces, Paulette Benson of Wakefield, Marion Costanza of New Jersey, Elizabeth Schrom of Maine, Anita Boisclair of West Kingston, Rita Ford of Wakefield, Jean Cinotti of Connecticut; and dear friends Louise Cronin of Riverside and Linda Kenny of Tucson Arizona. She was the mother of the late Germaine L. Webb and Francis D. Webb; and sister of the late Sister Germaine Boisclair, S.G.M., Anita Boisclair, Regina Nelson, Larraine Lariviere, Mary Jane Costanza, Louis, Joseph, Leo, and Henry Boisclair. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Monday in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High Street, Wakefield. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery Peace Dale. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Southern RI, PO Box 458, Wakefield, RI 02880 or South Kingstown Pound, 132 Asa Pond Road, Wakefield, RI 02879.
