Laura J. Main

January 15, 1960 — February 21, 2015

Laura J. Main, 55, of Wakefield, died Saturday at home. She was the beloved wife of James Main. Born in Jolliet, Illinois, she was a daughter of Norma Wisdom of Alabama. Mrs. Main has been the Bar Manager at the South Kingstown Elks Lodge for the past 13 years. She was instrumental in starting fund raisers for the Jimmy Fund and the Rhode Island Special Olympics at the lodge. Laura was a die-hard Boston Red Sox fan and one of her greatest joys was being able to touch the three World Series Trophies when they came to the Elks Lodge. This was due to all of her efforts in supporting the Jimmy Fund. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445-07226 or Rhode island Special Olympics, 370 George Washington Highway # 1, Smithfield, RI 02917.
