Kristina Colon

Kristina Marie Colon, age 38, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026, at South County Hospital.

Kristina was born on January 31, 1987, in Westerly, Rhode Island, to Richard Bessette and Deanne Mason, and was lovingly raised with Muriel (Boiteau) Bessette. She graduated from South Kingstown High School and attended early childhood care school. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother, and nothing in her life was more important than her children. She shared 11 beautiful years with her husband, German Colon, including 7 years of marriage, building a life rooted in love, family, and kindness.

Kristina had a deep love for the beauty of life. She was an avid crafter and creator, always making things with her hands and her heart. She loved gardening and had a special gift for bringing plants and people to life. As a mother, she was endlessly dedicated, patient, and nurturing, always putting her children first.

She will be remembered for her unmatched kindness and generosity, her incredible strength, and her radiant smile that could light up your soul. Above all, she will be remembered for the immense and selfless unconditional love she had for her family.

Beside her husband and parents, Kristina is survived by her children, Kathryn Appleton, Jordan, and Odin Colon; her sisters, Amanda (Bessette) Cote and Mikayla Mason; her devoted aunt, Vicki Chapman Esty and husband Robert; and her uncle Gregory Chapman

Her legacy of her love, creativity, and warmth will live on through her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
