Knapp Constance A

Constance A. Knapp, 81, died Wednesday. She was the wife of Theodore S. Knapp, Jr., they were married 57 years. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Daniel V. and Mary B. (Mulrennan) McCarthy, and summered on Block Island as a child. Mrs. Knapp was a secretary at URI for several years. She enjoyed painting, gardening, shopping, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides her husband she is survived by three children; Daniel V. Knapp of Green Hill, Mary Beth Bell of North Carolina, Patricia Hayes of Wakefield; four grandchildren; Lindsay, Daniel, Patrick and James, and two great-grandchildren; Andrew and Lily. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Monday at Christ the King Church, 180 Old North Road, Kingston. Burial will follow in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
