Kevin Donald Clouart of Englewood, FL and Narragansett, RI passed away peacefully at home on April 7, 2023 surrounded by his family. Elizabeth Moriarty became Kevin’s wife 44 years ago. Kevin was predeceased by his parents, Gerald F. and Marianne Clouart of Cumberland. He is survived by his brother, Gerald T. Clouart of Woonsocket; his sister, Mary Kim Lisbon and her husband, Arthur, of Franklin, MA; and nieces, Bethany Hien and her husband, Jonathan of Middletown, RI, and Jeralyn Haraldson and her husband, Christopher, of Waterbury Center, VT.
Kevin retired from the State of Rhode Island, Department of Transportation after 28 years of service. Retirement was not enough for Kevin and he started his own landscaping business, working thru Wakefield and Narragansett. Kevin was fondly known as “Briggs Tree Man”.
He was a proud member of the Narragansett Lions Club and participated in the annual Blessing of the Fleet Road Race.
Kevin enjoyed life to the fullest. He was a jet ski enthusiast and spent many days “riding the waves” with brothers-in-law, Paul and Timmy Moriarty. It became evident that jet skiing was not enough and graduated to a new love -- boating. Kevin and Liz enjoyed traveling during their retirement and visited the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Englewood, their winter home.
Kevin was a big New England Patriots fan and followed Tom Brady to Tampa Bay, gracefully showing his support for the G.O.A.T.
After moving from Cumberland to Narragansett, Kevin became an avid sport scuba diver. He was able to provide lobsters and clams to many neighbors, family, and friends. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor.
His second love, after Liz, was his beloved dog, Bella. Bella enjoyed long walks with Kevin through Narragansett and Englewood. Kevin was loved by many and truly relished his time with his soul mate, Liz. Kevin was known for his generosity of time spent with family and friends.
