Kenneth E. Reynolds

January 27, 1925 — May 12, 2015

Kenneth E. Reynolds, 90, of Wakefield and formerly of Narragansett, died Tuesday at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence. He was the beloved husband of Louise F. (Heden) Reynolds for 68 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Edward J. and Lillian (Allen) Reynolds. He graduated from Aldrich High School in Warwick in 1942. He then enlisted in the United States Army and served in the 83rd Infantry Division. After serving his country, Mr. Reynolds attended Brown University and graduated in 1949. He was employed by General Electric in Lynn, MA and then Mine Safety Appliances in Evans City, PA as an engineer. He retired in 1988 and returned to South County. Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Donna Reynolds (William Boyer) of Syracuse, NY and Debra Reynolds Banting (Charles) of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada; a granddaughter, May Banting of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada; and a sister Beverly Thompson of Warwick. He was the brother of the late Allan Reynolds and Howard Reynolds. Visiting hours will be at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Saturday from 1-2 pm, followed by a funeral service at 2 pm. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Peace Dale House, 1221 Saugatucket Road, Peace Dale RI 02879 or the USO, PO Box 96860, Washington, DC, 20077-7767. The Reynolds family would like to thank the staffs of Our Lady of Fatima Hospital and Brightview Commons, for the care and compassion shown to them.
