Kenneth C. Rawson

Kenneth C. Rawson, 84, of 1221 Saugatucket Rd., Peace Dale, Passed away Friday, August 29, 2014 at home. He was the husband of Lily Virginia “Ginny” (Whaley) Rawson. Born in Worcester, MA, he was the son of the late Nathan V. and Madeline (Weir) Rawson. Ken worked as a commercial fisherman out of Pt. Judith on the F/V E. Carl Rice, and as a clerk at the Wakefield Branch Company for many years. He enjoyed working with U.R.I. Athletics for many years and playing cards with his friends. He was a life member of the South Kingstown Elks. He leaves several nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be visiting on Friday, September 5th from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. in the Wakefield Baptist Church, 236 Main St., Wakefield.
