Kenneth John Pocius

Kenneth J. Pocius, 79, of Narragansett, RI, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021 at South County Hospital. He was the husband of Patricia (Barth) Pocius. Born in Waterbury, CT, he was a son of the late Peter Pocius and Irene Hedges and was a longtime resident of Middlebury, CT. Ken was an avid golfer and longtime member of the Waterbury Country Club and Highfield Club. He loved traveling, reading, music, and spending time with his family. He was curious and enjoyed new experiences and learning. He served in active duty in South Korea during the Vietnam war. Ken was a retired partner of Carmody Torrance Sandek & Hennesey law firm. He contributed his time to many civic organizations and charities in the Waterbury area. Besides his wife, he is survived by three children, Stephanie Greaves and husband Matthew Greaves, Bryan Pocius and wife Beth Fink, and David Pocius. His four grandchildren Sarina, Avery, Quinn, and Melanie affectionately knew him as Poppy and were one of his greatest joys in life. Services for Ken will be private.
