Kenneth T. Mars, Jr.

Kenneth T. Mars, Jr., 71, formerly of Highland Avenue, Wakefield, died Wednesday, August 24th. Born in South Kingstown, he was a son of Lucille (Greenwood) Mars of South Kingstown and the late Rev. Kenneth T. Mars. Mr. Mars was employed at the University of Rhode Island for forty years, before retiring. He was a member of the Narragansett Indian Tribe, the South Kingstown Historical Society, and the Peace Dale First Church of God, where he served as an usher for many years. His hobbies included photography and history. He is survived by a host of relatives and friends. Visiting hours will be held Thursday, September 1st, from 11- 1 at the First Church of God, 209 Allen Avenue, Wakefield, followed by a funeral service at 1 PM. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Wakefield.
