Kenneth E. Gove

Kenneth E. Gove, 84, of South Kingstown, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2014. He was the husband of the late Marilyn (Doten) Gove. Born in Providence, a son of the late John and Sarah (Healy) Gove. Mr. Gove was a meteorologist with the National Weather Service before retiring in 1985 and was an Air Force Veteran. He enjoyed fishing, shell fishing, gardening and dog walking. He is survived by his son, Eric T. Gove of Newkirk, OK; five daughters, Margaret S. Maine of Shannock, Katherine E. Gove of Salem, NJ, Melinda S. Soderberg , of Wakefield, Sarah F. Rockwell of North Kingstown and Bessie M. Shaw of Richmond; three step-sons, Gerald Butler of Shepherd, MI, Terry Lynn Butler of Williamsburg, MI and Jerry N. Butler of Whitelake, MI; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. His funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at 11 am in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. Burial with military honors will follow in R.I. Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours, Tuesday 10-11 am.
