Kenneth N. Fairweather

On Wednesday September 23rd 2020, Kenneth N. Fairweather passed away at the age of 87 at Westerly Hospital. Ken was born August 29th 1933 in South Kingstown, RI to Kenneth N. Fairweather and Angeline A. Perry. Ken was supported by Perspectives Corporation and attended the PACE Adult Day Center of Westerly. Ken loved life - he was overjoyed and thankful for even the simplest things. Ken had a great enthusiasm for the Arts. He had a passion for painting and spent most of his days creating masterpieces at the Westerly Adult Day Center. He had a strong love for music. He loved to play his guitar, listen to his music and enjoyed singing, especially at Christmas time. He also enjoyed attending live theater and made sure to show his thanks to the cast by applauding with great enthusiasm. Ken took pride in his appearance and made sure to look dapper each and every day. On work days, Ken's life long dream of becoming a Security Guard was fulfilled as 'Officer Fairweather' would monitor his area dressed in full uniform, handcuffs and badge. Ken was preceded in death by his father, Ken; his mother, Angeline; his sister, Katherine Scott and her two sons, James and Kenneth. Ken is survived by his caregivers and friends at Westerly Group Home, along with his best friend James Walker of Westerly. Ken also had extended family including Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. A funeral service will be held at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St, Wakefield, at 1 pm Thursday October 1st, In lieu of flowers donations can be made to: PACE Adult Day Center of Westerly, 5 Union Street, Westerly, RI 02891.
