Kendall K. Drake

April 8, 1919 — July 11, 2009

Kendall Drake, 90, of Old Post Road, Charlestown, died Saturday. He was the husband of the late Josephine (Monteith) Drake. Born in Caribou, Maine, he was a son of the late Clinton and Linnie (Cochran) Drake. Mr. Drake moved to Charlestown in 1945 and began a Potato Farm, which he ran until 1965. He then was a self-employed excavator, until retiring. Mr. Drake was stationed overseas for five years with the Army during WW II. He enjoyed and excelled at playing billiards. He is survived by a daughter Sharon Chamberlain of Charlestown and a granddaughter Kim Wheeler of Charlestown. He was the brother of the late Pearly Drake. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11 AM in New Fernwood Cemetery, Rt. 138, Kingston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
