Kathleen Mcauliffe Rubinstein R.N.

Kathleen McAuliffe Rubinstein R.N. age 60, passed away peacefully on Friday July 18th, 2014 surrounded by her family after a short battle with cancer. She was the daughter of Lucille (Smey) McAuliffe and the late George F. McAuliffe Sr. She is survived by her loving husband Norm Rubinstein and her beloved daughters Tonya Clawson Urquizo and Lea Rubinstein, and her son-in law Alex Urquizo. She is survived by 6 brothers & sisters along with their spouses and many nieces and nephews. Kathy was a pediatric nurse for 33 years and had a passion for her career, a love for her patients and always advocated for quality health care for all. Family and home were so important to her. Kathy loved teaching her much loved grandchildren, Ayla & Enzo Urquizo, and sharing her favorite hobbies of gardening, cooking, fishing, boating, and enjoying the arts with them. Visiting hours will be Tuesday July 22nd, 2014 from 4pm-8pm at Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St, Wakefield RI 02879, (401) 783-7271 with a celebration of life the next day Wednesday July 23rd, from 9am-11am at Avery-Storti. Burial will be private.
