Kathleen E. Mccarthy

Kathleen Elizabeth Morrison McCarthy of Warwick, Rhode Island died Monday, May 9, 2011. She was born August 10, 1953 in Providence, Rhode Island to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Edward Morrison of Wakefield, Rhode Island. Kathie attended high school at Elmhurst Academy in Portsmouth, Rhode Island before earning her Bachelor's degree at Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts. She was known for her love of animals, and enjoyed cheering her daughter on as the coxswain for the University of Vermont men's crew team. Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Jennifer P. McCarthy; brothers Robert Edward Morrison of Westerly, Rhode Island and Peter Morrison of North Falmouth, Massachusetts and her sister Susan Morrison Lee of Raleigh, North Carolina. Funeral services and burial were private. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Blvd., Suite 3004, Warwick, RI 02886, in memory of Kathleen's mother Margaret Sheehan Morrison or the American Lung Association, 260 West Exchange Street, Suite 102 B, Providence, RI 02903.
