IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kathleen Glennis
Brennan
July 25, 1949 – February 12, 2026
Kathleen Glennis Tucker Brennan, 76, of Tuckertown, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Thursday, February 12, 2026.
Born to Shirley Tucker and the late Hollis Tucker of Tuckertown, Kathleen lived a life defined by compassion, generosity, and unwavering devotion to others.
She was predeceased by her loving spouse, James Patrick Brennan, on August 6, 2020.
Kathy graduated from South Kingstown High School in 1967 and went on to earn her nursing degree from Westbrook College in Maine in 1970. She began her nursing career at Westerly Hospital that same year before transitioning into private care, where she spent the remainder of her professional life selflessly tending to those in need. Nursing was more than a profession to Kathy - it was a calling, and she fulfilled it with remarkable skill and heartfelt kindness.
Above all, Kathy was a beloved and cherished mother, a devoted friend, and a much-loved sister, aunt, and cousin. Her home was a place of warmth and welcome, especially during the cherished Thursday night music gatherings she hosted for many years with her husband Jim. Surrounded by family and musician friends, those evenings were filled with laughter, song, and lasting memories.
Kathy found great joy in life's simple and meaningful pleasures. She was an avid flower and vegetable gardener, loved family history and genealogy, was an exceptional baker known particularly for her homemade bread, and a creative and talented needleworker. She also dearly loved tending to her flock of chickens (her "girls") and took great pride in selling their fresh eggs - a small but meaningful reflection of her nurturing spirit and connection to home.
Kathy will be remembered for her gentle spirit, infectious laugh, generous heart, and the countless lives she touched through both her work and her friendship. Her legacy of care and love will continue to live on in all who knew her.
A memorial gathering will be held at her home on Brennan Farm on Sunday, March 22, 2026 from 3:00 - 6:00 pm. All who knew and loved her are welcome to stop by.
