Katherine B. Nagle

Katherine Bolton (Vigneau) Nagle from Matunuck, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully at home on May 15, 2025 surrounded by her loving children. She was born February 24, 1936 in Providence, Rhode Island and was married to the late William (Bill) Nagle for 30 years. She was the beloved daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Corcoran) Vigneau and sister to the late Judy Vigneau, James Vigneau, and Charles Vigneau and survived by three sisters Virginia Morrissey, Ellen O’Keefe, and Denise Budz.

She was a dedicated and loving mother of Michael Hansen and wife Abina, Paul Hansen and wife Demaris, Jim Hansen, Robert Hansen and wife Trish, Ann-Marie Murphy, John Hansen, and Steven Hansen. She was the grandmother to thirteen including the beloved late Jacob D. Hansen and great-grandmother to nine.

Katherine was a graduate of Saint Pat’s High School in Providence and a retiree of Amica Insurance in Lincoln. She was a devoted catholic and supporter of many charities throughout her life. She loved to travel, dance, sing, walk, and most of all spending time with her adoring family and friends.

Katherine was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her beautiful smile, kind heart, unwavering commitment and love for her family, friends, and God encompassed her life. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of all whose lives she touched.

Although Katherine's physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her amazing spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. May her memory be a blessing, may we carry forth her legacy of love and compassion in all that we do. May her light shine brightly forever in our hearts.

Katherine’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 11 AM in St. Romuald Chapel, 61 Atlantic Ave Matunuck, RI and will join her late husband Bill in Saint Columba Cemetery in Middletown, RI.
