Katherine Tierney Mcdonald

Katherine Tierney McDonald, 84, of Saunderstown, passed away Saturday. She was the wife of Edward “Hal” McDonald for 55 years. Mrs. McDonald was an Executive Assistant at the Cardinal Cushing Hospital in Brockton for many years. Then she was an Ombudsman for nursing homes in Rhode Island and Rochester, NY. She enjoyed collecting antiques. Besides her husband she is survived by a son and his wife, Scott and Katie McDonald of Saunderstown, and their son Sage McDonald. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 am at the URI Catholic Center, 90 Chapel Way Kingston. Burial will be private in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown.
